How Often To Water Basil?

Basil needs to be watered every three days during the warmer months to keep the soil from drying out. If your pot is in a more shady area, you may be able to water it every four days adequately. Black plastic pots are where most store-bought basil plants come from. When placed in sunlight, these transfer heat more quickly. To prevent the soil from drying out too quickly, it’s best to transfer your basil to a ceramic, clay or terracotta pot.
